Spring is already here and stores are stocking up on the new fashion trends for the season. I must say this has to be one of my favorite trends in a long time! A lot of bright colors and boho chic/rocker style trends are mixing up to create the most amazing pieces I've seen in a while. So here are the top trends for the season:
1. Bold Colors and Neons: Tangerine is leading the season with green, yellow and red close behind. Look out for neon yellow, pink, orange, purple, blue or green. Aren't you loving the Marc Jacobs neon satchels. Bags, shoes and jewelry are the biggest neon trend in town.
2. Pastels: I am not a big fan of pastels but the colors for the season have a bright hint to them. Bright pastels if I may say. My favorite is the mint green!!!
3. Floral and Paisley: Florals are big this season, specially big prints. Choose prints that accentuate your flattering areas. You don't want big prints pointing out your problem areas.
4. Nautical Prints- From stripes to boats, we've seen a lot of red and blue coming in stores. It's one of my favorites!!!

5. Pleats: Knife, accordion, box, inverted, you name it. Accordion maxi skirts are really big this season.
6. Lace: From pastels to neons, lace is showing up everywhere.
7. Color blocking: Contrast complimentary colors like red and hot pink, hot pink and orange, blue and green or yellow and purple. If you are not that bold keep your color blocking in your accesories. Maybe jeans, a read top and a hot pink purse or heels.
8. Peplums: The short overskirt or ruffle attached at the waistline of a jacket, blouse, skirt or dress. Do you know what I'm talking about? Here are a few pictures. Just remember this vintage trend accentuates your hips so if you don't have big hips it's a great trend for you but if you do have wide hips and you want to definitely use this trend just make sure to go for the longer, not so puffy hip covering peplum. Something discrete.
10. Palazzos- Those wide leg pants are making it big this season and making the boho chic trend a must. Either in pants or long jumpsuits, they are flattering, elegant and oh so comfortable.
Remember that no matter which of these trends you choose, always stick to your personal style. Stay with what you look good on. Trends come and go but your body type and your essence is always there so choose the trends that appeal to you.
